The Anxiety & OCD Clinic Melbourne Foundation (known as OCD Assist) is a registered health promotion charity (ABN 36612100204) that was formed to provide funding for the treatment of Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and Hoarding Disorder. This Foundation will be devoted to providing assistance through education and evidence-based treatments for anyone affected by these disorders.
This Foundation is commencing its work in 2017. It is a fact that too many people cannot access treatment for problems associated with Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Hoarding Disorder. The effects of these conditions are widespread in families and individuals, including children, adolescents and adults of all ages. The effectiveness of cognitive and behavioural strategies like Exposure and Response Prevention, activity scheduling and emotional regulation are well supported by research and clinical practice, yet the application of CBT across our communities is limited by cost factors and the availability of trained therapists.
OCD Assist aims to help in the treatment of any suffers, and to do this, we need the support of anyone in the community who can assist-philanthropic trusts, corporate sector, other Foundations and any individual supporter-by making a donation to the OCD Assist Foundation.
